On Saturday, April 3, 2010, more than 8,900 runners took part in the 2010 Papa John’s 10 Miler, hosted in Louisville, Kentucky. Participants came from 29 states to compete in the fifth largest 10-mile race in the country and what Runner's World has named one of the top six 10-mile races in the country!

As the final leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM, presented by Novo Nordisk, Papa John's has sponsored the 10 Miler for eleven years. Each year, enthusiasm and participation grows resulting in record-breaking numbers.

Papa John's 10 Miler net proceeds benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children. The proceeds from all three of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running races totaled a record $133,445 for the Crusade in 2011! Papa John's is looking forward to once again contributing to such a worthwhile cause following the March 26, 2011 running of the 10 Miler.

About the Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM

The Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM has a long-established partnership of generosity with the Crusade for Children having raised more than $700,000 since 1984, including $133,445 in 2010. In 2010, the races had more than 27,000 runners participating in all three events. This resulted in a record attendance for all three races, as well as a record donation to the Crusade. With the exception of the fire departments, this donation placed the three-race series 5th in the top 10 gift-givers for 2010. Also, this total does not reflect the thousands of dollars raised by the Team Crusaders (for CFC), the YMCA, the Metro United Way and other organizations and individuals who raised money for their causes through participation in these events.
